Math's most beautiful equation

One of the most well known constants to math people is e, or approximately 2.718. Many people think of it just as a number, but it is much more. One way to calculate e is a sum of an infinite series. This opens an entire series of new questions and perspectives. First, how can a number equal an infinite series? What is the infinite series? How can we think about it. We probe all these questions and more. This video will challenge your perspective on the number e. We will represent e in a visual manner that will appeal to non math people. The idea is to convert e to a recipe of dance steps on a number line. On this journey, we think of a new way to interpret multiplication and division as actions. We also see how to convert an exponentiation process to multiplication, division, and addition. This video will expand your vision of how to perceive the number e.
