In this video, we delve deeper into the Pythagorean Theorem by examining the intricate beauty of the area formula for triangles and its interaction with other geometric shapes. As we prepare to explore a new proof by Ann Condit, we take a moment to appreciate the elegance of how the area of dynamically changing triangles can still equate to a static triangle's area, emphasizing the constancy of geometric relationships. This understanding sets the stage for Ann’s innovative proof, demonstrating that mathematical truths are timeless and continually rediscovered, connecting us through the universal language of geometry.

I spent about a year investigating the Pythagorean Theorem and learned a lot of cool math concepts. I summarize it in a video series called "A Pythagorean Theorem Story". The series is organized in 2 parts of 5 videos each. Part 1, titled "Following Brilliance" focuses on 3 main proofs of the Theorem. Part 2, titled "Lost and on my own" takes a step back and compares and contrasts the proofs. This was the real fun part as I had no road map to follow. By giving myself permission to be curious, I discovered new things that I had never seen before. The entire series is a journey of discovery and appreciating the beauty of geometry.
